1) I did try from developer but doesn't have that option, or am I looking wrong.

3) Yes, that would be nice. In Timeline settings maybe.

4) On Twitter users can post a tweet and then can post another tweet continuing the first one. The second one is attached to the first one and it's not a reply. They are just tweets in a thread format.
