Comment to 'Will we miss the opportunity?'
  • This news sounds very promising, and I’m really looking forward to testing NEO, I’ve been waiting for two years. I’m convinced that once the community gains access to the source code, everyone will be able to contribute, and together we can turn it into a truly great app.

At the same time, for UNA to truly progress it needs greater speed, as it still feels too slow at the moment, regardless of which servers or clusters it runs on. If NEO manages to accelerate UNA, that alone would already be a huge step forward.

Given the large number of applications required to run UNA, I believe it’s essential for the platform to be as modular as possible, allowing it to run in containerized environments, whether on a Docker Swarm cluster or in Kubernetes. This ensures that applications remain fully scalable, independent of the underlying infrastructure.

For large sites running UNA, I also think that Karmada could be very useful for global distribution, enabling deployment across multiple clouds. If UNA can be optimized to load pages in about one second, then with these scalable tools, creating any profesional social network with UNA can truly become a reality on global scale."
