I didnt talk about adding when creating a group. I was talking about managing users later (as delete user or give admin rights).
aside youre fantastic example lets imagine: you have several groups of users. Maybe english speaking, German speaking. French speaking. Or football players, chess players. ... . So, it would be great if the ADMIN could add the users to the corresponding groups. For example alle english speaking in group "English". And so on.
Yes, should be availlable for admin(s) only to avoid abuse. I agree. But it should be availlable for admins. So you have to hope that all new users know about the "English" group - find the "English group".
You are talking about "opt-in", yes. I personally think that "opt-out" should be availlable for admins atleast.
