Close Dropdown in Profile Menu By Default

I want the Profile Menu to be closed by default. It seems that the menu is open by default and when following many people, groups, classes, etc the list is very long and it is difficult to find what you are looking for quickly.

How do I modify this setting to look like the picture above by default?
