Display event's date

Hello,

When displaying the block "new events" I would like to show the event's date (not "creation date" but "date when the event will take place") and location. Using the "snippet meta info" for events, I have been able to display the location but the "date" seems to be the creation date of the event, and not the date scheduled for the event...
Could anyone explain how to display the starting and/or ending date of the event on the "new event" block ?
And maybe I would also need a "upcoming events" block ...
