How to change the default background image?

I would like to change the default gradient image background to a different image, but I'm not sure where I can do so. The section I am referring to is the rectangular image behind "Ads" in the example screenshot.

Thanks, your solution there of replacing the default cover image file worked. It just took some time to propagate before it showed up. Appreciate all your help!
