Mailchimp & Facebook Connect

Hi,

We've been using the Mailchimp module to add new users to a mailing list.  However, it looks like this doesn't work with Facebook connect, even though we're collecting emails and requiring confirmation for opt-in.  Is there a setting I'm missing, or is this by design?  Thanks!
