Multiple Relationships

I'm trying to figure out how to allow user to have multiple relationships between each other. I see that there is a way to have asymmetrical relationship, which is nice, but I want to allow people to have multiple relationships with the same people. Is there a way to not hide the "add relationship" button once you already have a relationship?

I did look at that thread, however it doesn't address how to have multiple relationships between people. Example would be User-A adds a relationship, User-B confirms it and adds the same relationship type. Now User-A would like to add a second relationship to User-B, repeat process.
Is this possible?
