Spam, Bots, Scammer
Hello everyone,
What measures do you use to block bots, spammers, and scammers?
I’m currently using the UNA anti-spam tools, but they don’t seem to help much. I also use Scamalytics and ipqualityscore.com, but I have to check every IP manually, which takes a lot of time.
If I’m not mistaken, the next UNA version will include new anti-spam tools. Are they similar to the two tools I’m using now?
I’m considering asking a developer to create an integration for ipqualityscore.com, but if it’s not necessary, we could focus on other projects for my sites.

Hello @poison07 !
Could you please share actions of using the Antispam tool? I confused with this one:
>but I have to check every IP manually
Do you add the whole IP intervals for Add IP table directive? The typical procedure looks like:
1) the bad account has the IP like 127.1.2.30;
2) the whole subnet like 127.1.2 is checked (- it can be done via the direct URL [UNA URL]accounts-administration?filter=127.1.2
3) if this list has more than 1 record then ban the whole subnet - from 127.1.2.0 till 127.1.2.255 for more than 1 month.

Hello, I’m not sure I understood you correctly. I don’t work much with UNA anti-spam tools—I’ve only enabled a few of them.
For me, it’s important to check the IP address for every account to see if someone is using a VPN or proxy to fake their country. This is not allowed on my site, as I want to protect users from romance scams (it’s a dating site).
For this, I use https://www.ipqualityscore.com/ and https://scamalytics.com/. I check every new profile before activating it by copying the IP address and pasting it into these websites. They work well, but it’s very time-consuming, especially as my site is growing.
I don’t know if there is an easier solution, or if UNA plans to implement something that does the same automatically. Having a tool that automatically checks whether an IP is using a VPN or proxy and blocks those users from registering would save a lot of time.
This is the reason why I started this topic—to ask if anyone already has a good solution, or if it will be included in the next UNA update. If not, my plan is to let create a custom module using https://www.ipqualityscore.com/ from a vendor.

Hello @poison07 Sorry to write this, but I get the feeling that you don't know what you're doing. On the one hand, you're trying to protect users from romance scams, you're solving IP, VPN, and yet you haven't solved the basic things for security yours UNA instalation. See, private message.
My advice is, don't waste money on stupid things like this-- https://www.ipqualityscore.com/-- and use what you already have and what works great.
You just need to learn how to use UNA and set it up correctly. I don't mean it badly of course, take it as advice to live with UNA :)
