When content is created and visibility is not public, the content does not appear on timeline and no notification is sent (this is good).
when the content visibility is edited / changed afterwards to 'PUBLIC' it does not appear on timeline and no notification is sent (this is a problem).
changing visibility to public should trigger changes on the Create/Updated DateTime stamp so that it can appear on the timeline and appears in notifications.
The same problem happens if the content is moderated.
The content does not appear on the timeline and no notification is sent if it's waiting approval. Event after approval, it does not appear on the timeline and no notification sent.

Interesting, i had same issue last night. Going to follow this thread.
Is this in Artificer theme?

It seems a general problem in all themes.
As for notifications, go to studio>notifications mod>on the left, make sure they r all active.
As for the posting, etc.....maybe you have the blocks wrong, i changed them and now it works, look at picture.

It's not a timeline post, the problem is in the content. for example, if you create a 'discussion', it should appear on the timeline, and a notification should be sent to everyone who is following you. This happens if you create a discussion and set the visibility to 'public'. If you initially create a 'discussion' and set the visibility to 'Only Me', it will not show up on the timeline, and no notification is sent. this is all ok and perfect.
the problem happens if you change your mind, and then decide to make the 'discussion' visible to public. when you edit the 'discussion' and change visibility to 'public' id does not show on the timeline, and no notification is sent. that's the problem.
