I imagine the answer in this thread will be the same you will get back. Basically images that are resized in UNA (e.g. cover image) wont be animated any more.

While digging around in Froala I came upon the option to use SVG instead of Font Awesome 5. SVG is a format called Scalable Vector Graphics. They can even be animated...I may play around with that and see what I can come up with. If I am able to exchange icons with SVG images or even animated ones then that would be a great work around for animated icons π€

SVG images are only availible for icons....you can't even use them for cover or backgrounds. I was kinda upset because I created a really nice Logo using SVG and they wouldn't take SVG files. Yet they take GIF files and Gifs don't even animate when uploaded.Β

Uploads GIF as a picture through the loader preserving animations in GIF is not implemented.
It is possible to load GIF only loaded as photo and not as an animated GIF .
