I tried to use "linux" Font Icon, and it did not work nothing showed on the menu item. 

I also tried using the class fab fa-linux as I have noticed not all work by icon name, some times you have to use class.

Anyway, I tried icon name and class for linux. And when looking at the file for icons it is not listed. 

In the end, for the menu item, I used "server" icon instead.
