I could register in your site and upload a photo successfully. About your address issue - but it just can't be found via OpenStreetMap contributors. You may try to ask them - maybe something is missing in their data.

  I tried uploading a profile photo a number of times in the join form. After each time i deleted the new profile and made sure that I cleared all cache. Sometimes the upload button is there, sometimes not.

  Do you have a suggestion what is the differences between the cases when the button exists and when not?

  I tested 6 more times. With mandatory profile photo on 3 times, off three times, Deleted with content after every try. Cleared cache. Still no upload button. Then I tried using a new name and the upload button appeared once. Then new name again but it did not. Any ideas? something else I can try? Can you tell me if there is a way that I can see the log file to check for errors? I'm on the cloud service.
