    Well, on your initial example with the minion-like mask could be the right situation, because some requests generates the number icon in the Notifications indicator (the Bell icon) and in the Profile (the Person icon). And it's possible that you checked your Notifications, but didn't complete the friends request for example.

    • Thanks for the reply LeonidS but no I do understand how they should work. I see the notifications counter over the persons icon. It has worked this way sense I upgraded to 12.1.0. (on mobile apps) All notifications show over the persons icon, regardless if they are for persons or the bell.

      • Let's see an example. user A requests a friendship with user B. After that, user B sees the notification counter at the top of the bell and profile icon simultaneously. And if he will check this new notification, but will not accept the friend request then the counter above the bell will disappear but will be left above the profile icon.
