The request from the previous suggestion about "to disable the add button in users categories" looks strange because in this case is simpler to use default categories editable by admin. Your other question has been answered in another thread.

Yes, by default it's impossible to do without the modifications.

@LeonidS , not quite in the subject of the question, is it possible to set up subcategories in categories, for example, in groups? If so, what depth?

Sorry, for now, it's impossible too. You may use the hash-tags for the possible additional filter's using.
