Hello Joe,
By default, messenger blocks can be added to any page of the site, each page can have its own privacy, thus messenger becomes available only for members who have access to the page.
For example, you may place it on any groups page and thus only group's viewers can have access to the block with conversations.
We will add additional abilities(Alerts) to the messenger to the next version, it will allow to check users before to add them to the talk, thus it will possible to filter users list. Also we will think over special for messenger feature to block annoying users.-
Thanks Alexey. I found the membership controls in the blocks but this is only useful if an entire site is, for example, a group or business who are all approved and 'sensible'. Can you imagine this in a membership, but public site... like Facebook... where anyone can send you anything without warning and without any way to accept or reject their messages... and no way to block them. It is unusable for that environment.
