      Thanks for that response.

      I noticed that under that setting, you have "Account is confirmed when " and in the drop-down below, I have "email is confirmed", as in your screenshot above. This still seems to mean that the account will be confirmed when the users confirms their email, and not when an admin clicks somewhere to approve. Correct me if I'm wrong? I'll test it out anyway and see, thanks!

        OK, I have tested it after unchecking the box you mentioned, but I still have to send an invite back to the new member. I just want them to request membership and I approve or deny.
