Hello @joonaskoo !
No, the removed Connect actions disables the following actions too. So you need to disable the friends part via the Navigation menus.

  If you mean to hide the Friends only variant from the Privacy field - then no. It can be done via the Javascript tricks like this one https://unacms.com/cmts-view/a7v9hy?sys=bx_forum&cmt_id=50214
