When you view the Messenger history, if a video is not ready yet, there should be a placeholder image (like the one in the attached screen) instead of the video. The process of video encoding with FFmpeg should not affect the loading of the history. Could you explain why you think there is a problem in this situation? Are you referring to the video recorder within Messenger when you mention "recording"?
