You can't go wrong if choose to live and work in service to a higher purpose, entity or concept. Preservation and appreciation can be slow and not particularly lucrative, but in the end, it is always the right thing to do.
I've just been talking to someone from a US-based group dedicated to what seems to be an idea of just taking things slow. From their manifesto: "May suitable doses of guaranteed sensual pleasure and slow, long-lasting enjoyment preserve us from the contagion of the multitude who mistake frenzy for efficiency." How cool is that! Just slow down, breathe in, observe and enjoy.
