Comment to Jitsi Setup
  • Hello Robert,
    See please my comments below:
    1) How many people can be on it at one time? By default Jitis allows to have in one room 75 participants max, but they try to increase it and make it more then 100. If you need more, it is better livestreaming the meeting and participants will watch it on youtube, in this case you may have several millions people in one time.
    2) How do I control permissions, EG: If I only want specified 3-5 people to be able to talk while everyone else listens? Jitis contains two options which allows to set how many people my talk or have video in one room, but we didn't include these options to current integration yet, they may be added to the future updates.
    3) Can I make it completely without cam, like remove the cam option entirely?
In current configuration you can not do it, but Jitis allow to make only audio conference. In current integration user can choose before to start the conference, use video or only microphone. During conference members can turn off/on video cam and microphone.
    4) Does it work if that app is not open on the phone (working in the background) We have integrated Jitis to our Mobile app also. It means that you can use Jitis it on mobile and desktop versions.
    5) How do I add Jitsi to my mobile app? There is the same interface in Mobile App as in web version with button in the talk.

    • The bottom doesn't appear on my mobile app. Do I need the latest one?

Yes - you will need to update your UNA Mobile App script to the latest version.

      • Hi Sovereign People New World Order - in future it's break down your support requests and create a new discussion post. It is easy for things to get missed with you ask questions as a reply to another post.
With relation to Jitsi server - there is not cost for this, a free service provided by Jitsi.org - if you want added security, you can establish your own Jitsi Meet server, but for free you can use the default meet.jit.si
With regard to deleting apps - first you must deactivate the app,
then once the app is deactivated if you use the Manage Launcher want (pictured) you will see that the deactivated apps have an option to delete. Be careful when deleting apps, as you will lose all associated data with that app.

Also to use Crypto you should try UNA Credits - which is essentially an internal UNA currency, where you buy and sell currency and charge commissions. We have integration with Bitpay, which allows users to pay in Bitcoin please see providers in Payments app.

        Hope this helps.

        • THANK YOU, Mark, so much for the above.  It's a lot to get up to speed on in short order and I haven't been clear on the link, if any due to the key and secret thing mostly, between una.io platform and my una install.  Thanks, I will follow your bouncing ball. Best and yes, I will do one item at a time. Just been six day of mostly frustration. GRIN Thanks.
