By usual methods, it's hard to reproduce this situation. May you please specify the conditions before this situation:

1) how many notifications were in profile before message deleting?

2) how many new messages were in profile's inbox?

3) did you delete the messages as "messages recipient"?

4) did you make some manipulations in database near this time?
