Yes on the push notifications and I have both mobile apps setup and running. From what I understand something has changed in the UNA12 upgrade. I enabled notifications in notifications app > items > system > notification > member toolbar as Alex suggested but didn't help. I have to open the member toolbar to see IF I have new notifications waiting.
