James Zandreiatti In my opinion, you are getting far more than you think you may looking at it from the outside. Being I have been around since 2011, I can tell you that Dolphin was great, it had awesome everything out the box, tons of options for privacy and usability, just install, configure and go. But...then along came UNA. A platform that's simple, smart, sweet, and a major tool to use for building more than just a social network.  Yes, there are modules to be bought. There is a lot of modules that come free as well. UNA is also beautifully written. There are several members of the UNA team. They all have families and bills just like you and I do. That is the reason that not everything is free. They need finances to survive both at home and in the coding and support world. UNA would cease to exist if they gave all of us as well as the rest of those everything for free. I am sure you can understand this.

I will say this though, Andrew Boon is working hard to devise a plan to give those who wish to test out UNA without upfront costs a chance. It's a great plan and will help those such as yourself to use it and see if it's what you need and can use to successfully build your project. And you can migrate your Dolphin site over to UNA.
