I'll agree with this as well. There are certain things, such as reply buttons, links, menus, which probably shouldn't require swiping on mobile to get to. All of the "big" social sites usually don't require you to swipe right/left and so users aren't used to it. Having said that, I think swiping on mobile for certain things is okay. For example, those top sub menus where you have to sometimes swipe if there are a lot of menu items, I think that's okay. It makes UNA a little different, and interesting. But, even in those situations, an arrow or something signaling the user that they can swipe for more, might be helpful.
