Have you checked robots.txt and .htaccess?
Hopefully you're not blocking Googlebot and others.
Are the articles in a 'Member's Only' section of the site?
If it's 'Member's Only', search engine bots are not members.

  I use robots.txt and .htaccess by default from UNA.
  and I set all articles publicly for all users.
