I personally pay for an unmanaged dedicated custom server. I pay around 80 for my server and 45 for my darn dedicated Cpanel account, but loads cheaper then going through a managed host. If you have the knowledge and do not mind learning I would recommend doing it that way for cost effectiveness. I am running Raid 5, so why I required 3 drives. I can always add more drives as I needed which leaves me some flexibility for the future. Once I got through all the kinks and adding the apache modules I needed, messing with PHP and PHP FPM it wasnt so bad to see the final product of the work.
