Comment to 'in marketplace, how to set flexibility and price for recurring billing?'
  • -interesting, Anton - thank you.

.  i just found the logic of 1-5 very strange, and it threw my understanding off.  :)
-so am i to understand that individual sellers cannot set a unique subscription price?

     - is this for adherence to the plan setup inside of stripe or chargebee? as in to saym they must match otherwise the recurring charge will fail later?

-ie- (sets up auth channel / token at time of purchase and if price is not inside plan on stripes end, recurring charge will fail while the initial charge succeeds?)

    - and about that, i dont understand where to set that up inside stripe, but thats not really your job,  but i am totally lost on that aspect, and could use a single screenshot that shows me what part of stripes dashboard to set this up in???

(because i have spent around 8 hours fully inside there clicking everything, pulling back, and thinking, and still cannot sort it out precisely where this goes.)  :)

    • Hello

      1. We'll think over the possibility to replace dropdown with text box.
      2. Yes, price in Market product should be the same as price in Stripe.
P.S. To add a product in Stripe, you need to go to Billing -> Products and click with '+ New'button in top right corner. Fill in Product name and click 'Create Product'. Fill in the following form:

'Price per unit'  and 'Billing interval' should have the same values in Market product.

      Best Regards
      Anton

      • thank you Anton, very much !!
I will take another look at this. I did get the prices changed, although I feel many sellers will be turned off by the lack of flexible recurrant pricing, having a huge list of prices incremented in 10's from 1.99,2.99,5.99,10.99, 19.99, 29.99 is ugly and makes people feel like this isn't a professional offering for selling their wares, please do discuss this with the team.
