Actually we don't encourage custom modifications, since it can break auto-update, also we don't allow custom modification on UNA Cloud. 

The better way is to make a module, if you want to change something in the core please ask us to add possibility to override it via custom module and we'll add necessary changes in the upcoming update. After the update you will be able to make a module with desired functionality.
