Yes, the number is increasing, now 25 waiting. It was 16 when I opened this discussion. The MassMailer is not a mass mailer at the moment ;)
As I'm hosted with UNAcloud, could You please check the cron settings and the MM settings there?

  Actually it was bug in recent update, thank you for noticing this:
