Hello Foghorn,

Video Recorder uses users' browser for Video recording on client's side, so it should not influence on the server, but when the file is ready and user sends it, then it is uploading and transcoding to appropriate formats using server's resources the same as you upload the video to any other part of UNA. 

I think, you need to check video transcoding ability of your site.
