First of all you need to check the work of your site's Cron Jobs. It might be found in the Studio->Dashboard->Audit area, Last Cron Jobs execution, the time there should me not far than 1 minutes from the page's opening. Second - to check the lates records in the server error log, perhaps there is some fatal PHP error which prevents the update run.
