The 'sudden big numbers" in the counter of the menu has been fixed, there was some challenges with the cache. Other point with unremovable cointer may be connected with loosing of rigths to check some content. The user can't see the updates and the number doesn't reduce. It needs to have the DB access to check it properly. But most troubles with numbers should go away after the click on notification area because it has the full check instead of simple in the menu due to reducing the load of DB.
