From Apple
- 3. 2.1 Business: Other Business Model Issues - Acceptable
Guideline 3.2.1 - Business - Other Business Model Issues - Acceptable
The seller and company names associated with your app do not reflect the financial institute name "Hashtag Investing" in the app or its metadata, as required by Guideline 3.2.1(viii) of the App Store Review Guidelines.
Next Steps
Your app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the Hashtag Investing name. If you have developed this app on behalf of a client, please advise your client to add you to the development team of their Apple Developer account.
Please note that submitting documentation showing permission to publish this app on behalf of the financial institution will not resolve this issue. This app must be submitted under the financial institution’s own Apple Developer account.
To request an update to the company name or entity type associated with this Apple Developer Program account, the Account Holder will need to edit the account information. On the Apple Developer website, go to Account, then select Membership. On the Membership page, click "Need to edit this information?" to submit your requested changes.

Sounds like it needs to be submitted using the owner of the websites info and company and not under you as the developers info. Could be wrong but at a glance that's what it looks like. Maybe you submitted it telling Apple that you're submitting it for a client.

I am the owner of the website, but my brand name isn't fully registered as business yet. How do I get around this?
-
I'm assuming as a business you would have to show or prove your business is registered wherever you live with either a business license or tax number. If you can't register it as a business I would try it under a different category with less restrictions if you can later re-list it under a business once your business is registered.

Your questions are very legit and hopefully Andrew can start a direct path to making it easier to transition websites into apps instead of just referring to Github in the future.

We can offer a service where we submit the apps under our company account, many publishers do this, but your app would appear as published by Boonex (our account) which is not necessarily desirable or appropriate for some. It would certainly expedite the publishing process,
Apple are obviously looking for a degree of legitimacy in their publishers - to avoid the App Store turning into the Wild West of App Publishing - aka Android Market.
Who is publishing the App? What is the name of that account? It sounds like you need to have a Developer Account for Hashtag Investing - There might be special rules pertaining to Financial Institutions
Andrew Boon or Alex T⚜️- might have more to add? -

I might take you guys up on doing it for me to be honest. I do not want to go through the steps of registering my brand as a business entity until revenues force me to. (tax implications and additional headaches)

looking at the feedback you received from Apple, it looks like there are special considerations for Financial Services productss. They might not let us publish it either, we would need to look at that more closely before taking it on.

It's not financial services, just a community

Seems like Apple has categorised you as Financial Services...
