Antispam module

I had to disable the antispam module, all join requests started erroring with:

Unknown control type
Spam detected. If you believe that this is a mistake, please submit a false positive report here: https://mysite.com/contact

What is unknown control type?

This literally stopped all join requests. As soon asI disabled Antispam module, join worked.

I didn't do anything in this module but enable it. Ideas? I'd like to have it working, however, can't afford new members hitting a wall saying they are spam.

      By default, Antispam doesn't generate such error. Could you please specify if some account/profile fields have been changed?

      • I removed the account name from join form, so it defaults to User #. It was confusing to have to have two different names.

        But it was definitely Antispam module. With it disabled, that spam message goes away.
