Category Suggestions for A recycling site

Hi UNA community..

Hope someone can provide me some suggestion on how to handle this better in UNA.

I am setting up a community for UpCycling where members share and discuss videos and posts on how to re-use some of the waste items (say, plastic bottle reused as garden items , glass bottles re-purposed as decoration etc.). Now I hit a roadblock trying to categorize the content.

I want to categorise content according to the following .

  1. Categorize according to Skill level required to upcycle the item - Beginner, Intermeidate, advanced, expert
  2. Categorize according to Materials - Plastic, wood, glass, paper, cloth etc.
  3. Categorization according to Project Type / Item: - Furniture , fashion, Toys, Garden

A user should be able to find a single post that matches all the THREE categories above - "Beginner friendly" + "Plastic" + "Toy".

Labels have a condition of OR...

Thank you in advance.

    • Hello @highlightings !

Well, I guess it would be fine the follwing plan:

      1) Skill level is a new field available for admin's editing only (if necerssary).

      2) Materials - labels

      3) Project Type - Category.

      • Thanks @LeonidS for the suggestions.

Regarding 1 - Adding a field for skill level. I want to display a feed or search result for content with only skill level "Beginners"

        • Is it possible to add the "Skill level" field as a selection to the search form ? The search forms currently seems fixed and I cannot add additional fields for searching.
        • Or is there a way to create feed with all posts having "Beginner" .. The page blocks don't have any way to add additional fields

Any way to do this without touching Code ?

How did you detect it? Did you add the field to the Add Video form, but it didn't appear in the Videos Search form? Did you press the Reset button there?

          >Or is there a way to create feed with all posts having "Beginner" .. The page blocks don't have any way to add additional fields

Videos App has the View Video form where you may place almost all fields of Add New / Edit Video forms. It is shown in the Info block on the View Video page.

Thanks for the hint.. The "Reset" button did the trick. If you don't press the "reset" button, the newly added fields are not visible on the search field ..

Looks like we need a diploma or some sort of certifficate in UNA CMS.. I am almost there (hopefully will get certified soon) :)
