Commenting permission for Update

I'm having an issue where the comment button doesn't appear for updates in the timeline for non-administrators/moderators. It also doesn't appear on the individual item page.

It does appear for other types like posts and photos, is there a specific permission required to allow commenting on updates?

      I may suggest that maybe this menu item isn't available for the non-admin users in the Studio->Navigation->Timeline->Item actions area.

      • Thanks LeonidS but it is already set as Visible for Anyone there. It's strange because the Comment button appears for Posts and Photos, but not Updates.
