Courses Module - How to change the options of class availablity

How to change the availability of a class to be seen or visible only to certain students (for example after they successfully complete a quiz or other requisite) and hence they can continue the rest of the course? The options in the course module are very limited and may not be flexible in modulating who will be able to continue the classes.
