Discussions: Video File Attachment
Currently, a video file attachment opens in the same window but without the menus, I find disturbing for the user and it requires to use the arrow back of the browser. Possible to open it in a popup?

Please specify the extension of the video from your example because usually click on attached file means to download it.

LeonidS - He's talking about when you attach an .mp4 or other type of video file.
He's right as it opens up in the same "window" instead of a light box. The best solution would be to make it like you did with the pictures in the latest update. The media (.mp4/.mov/etc...) should open up in a light box or a popup that gives the options to close it while the page behind the popup/light box stays on the same page.

This is simple file attachment without conversion, it shows file as it is. If it opens in the browser, it's browser feature. All we can do is to ass special header to always download the file, but it will be no way to preview it in the browser. I think current implementation is better.
