Help Tours problem is back

I once closed that topic here https://una.io/d/help-tours-mod-not-triggering-after, since it seemed to be solved. But now, the problem is back again.

I setup a help tour for the startpage, in order to help new members with getting acquainted quickly with menus and site design. I set my page up for account confirmation by email. When the new user has completed with creating his profile, my system is setup to stay at the profile site. But, when the user didn't confirm his profile by the automated email link he received in the meantime, a system note appears on the site, remembering the user that his profile hasn't been confirmed by email, yet. So the user will go back to his email inbox and click the confirmation link in the system-sent email. That will open a new browser window and redirect the user automatically to the startpage.

And then the story ends. Help Tour doesn't get fired.

Any ideas on this? Or similare experience? I'm pretty sure it has to do with either the browser sessions or the cookie handling.
