Messenger Mobile History

Our Inbox for Messenger chats is not showing the history when you click on a Chat. It works fine on a computer. Does anyone know where we find the setting so that messenger participants may see their one to one history with each other. Right now, it just opens a message window. There is no way to see the message history. Thanks.
