Ya I think Facebook is on the way out. There capitalism has hurt them and there account base. I really don't see this "Metaverse" panning out . It requires to much from the user to be able to use it. Cost is a huge factor from what I read on a discussion on it. You will have to invest in a headset for one. Those run around $400 for a good set. And I am sure they will push there Oculus set as well. As well as a high speed internet.

It never ceases to amaze me how easy it is to totally control people. We now have people think that virtual reality is reality. May be some just like the Matrix movie so much that they want to live in that kind of world where your reality is controlled by someone else. This will definitly make living in reality that much harder when you can advoid it by escaping into a delusion instead. Look like trouble in coming our way in the near future. Reminds me of snowflakes.
