If you will install both modules then the user will see the profile type's choice right after account creation.

Thank you for the reply, so it is not possible during the signup process, to allow the user to choose without a developer's help I gather.

Yes, it's impossible to avoid the account switcher page without the code's modification.

To allow user to select profile type straight after the registration then please disable the following option:
Studio > Settings > System > Account > Automatic profile creation from account name
