Search function in Albums brings an error "Database Query Error".

When I go to Albums menu entry, it brings the Albums page which has certain option, one of which is "Search", as soon as I click on that it goes to a page with some error. Attached are the screenshots for both pages in a single pic. Please Advice.

P.S:

Changing themes does not have any effect on this error.

    • Hello Sam!

In moment of any MySQL error system sends detailed report about it on site's email (you may change / check it in Studio->settings->general settings area). So show us message which arrived at the same moment when you meet this error in your UNA's site.

      With the best regards, Leonid

      • Hi there,

The Settings which you are talking about, are properly set however there is no email in my inbox.
The Settings go as follows: Studio > Settings > System > Site-Settings > "Email to receive critical site notifications".....

If those are the settings you are talking about, then yes it is setup properly, however no emails with errors received. Please advice further.

        Regards,
        Sam

        • HI Sam, I had something similar to this happening a while back. What happens when you do a site search?

I tried the same search on my albums page and it works fine.

It turned out to be something in the database that got corrupted during an upgrade.

          • Hey Michael,

            Thanks for the prompt reply.

I did check each and every search option available in the entire site before posting here, all but one are working.

Hence need to know why only this search would give me a database error and how to fix it.

            Regards,

            Sam

            • If you don't have content yet; can you uninstall then reinstall the albums module?

              • Thanks Michael.

Tried to uninstall it using the method described hrere. It gives the popup confirmation of uninstall but does not uninstall...
                don't know what to do...

                • Hello Sam!

Possible reason that you have content in Albums module and your Cron Jobs werent's setup right. So module's content cleaner can't finish its job. If it's not so then please provide me admin access details via Messenger here.

                  With the best regards, Leonid

                  • @LeonidS

Hey there, I don't have any content there as I am taking this CMS for a test drive, trying to look in every nook and corn before I put it out there for something real... by the way the cron jobs are a bit tricky if doing through script, but the ones for una where done through the GUI hence I am sure that there is no problem in cron jobs... as far as the admin access is concerned..."DO YOU WANT THE ACCESS TO UNA DASHBOARD AS ADMIN OR ACCESS TO MY GODADDY SERVER?"

                    • Hello Sam!

Yes, please send me access details of your Godaddy server, if possible of course.

                      With the best regards, Leonid

                      • hey LeonidS, I have sent you a message, please reply to that

                        • hey LeonidS,

I have found something new, if you remember that the contact form of my site was not sending me emails and I had to correct the MX-records to make it work, that actually fixed the auto generated emails being sent in case of errors.
Now that I have the detailed error report that occurs when someone tries to search the albums, do you want me to paste that here or forword you the email.
NOTE:- IT DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHETHER A LOGGED IN MEMBER TRIES TO SEARCH THE ALBUMS OR JUST A NOT LOGGED IN USER, THE ERROR IS ALWAYS THERE, I WANTED TO TELL YOU THIS BECAUSE THE ERROR MESSAGE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT "Mysql error:
                          Column 'pass' cannot be null".

                          • Hello Sam!

Yes, i found the reason - you have previous release of UNA in your site. This error with search by albums was fixed for actual version see details here:

                            https://github.com/unaio/una/issues/952

                            With the best regards, Leonid

                            • Thanks LeonidS,

You fixed the issue and everything is working fine now... Thanks again....

                              • You are welcome, Sam!
