Video Chat Button on Profile Page

I am guessing the video chat button on the profile page does not initiate a video chat with the profile owner. If not, then it is rather useless. If yes, then it is not working as the profile owner never gets a notice that I want to initiate a video chat with them.

    • I removed the button from profile pages becasue it was not reliable.

      Now video chat is only possible from messenger. This is an important engagement feature. If it isn't added to Github as a bug, please add it (I could not find it on the list)

      • I wish Jitsi video chat was set up more as a video chat phone call instead of a Zoom meeting experience. I think that's one of the reasons why people don't get notifications and why it's hard to find out if someone is getting the call or not.

          • Hello!

            This button has another purpose than to create private call with profile's owner. It intends for creating group calls on profile's page with friends. When someone clicks to the button push notifications are sent in the same moment to the all friends.

            It is useful if you like to create seminars on something like that. This button can be hidden from Studio -> Navigation -> Persons -> Person Actions area.

            We will modify this function in the future updates and to make it to work to create private calls only.

                Please this function is USEFUL for Organisations.

                We need it to create seminars.

                Private calls are also useful for Persons.

                Both features are useful.
