video link

What is this video link called and can someone explain to me how it should work? It does nothing on my site. Also does it work on other sites?

    • It allows you to record a video and include the newly recorded video in your post.

        This is the video record button. I was testing that on your site directly, so the recording and saving the videos work fine in the Chrome and FF browsers. The latest Firefox (89) has some troubles with the playing videos and loading of your index page.

        • Thanks for the reply LeonidS . Myself and two members tried to play a video uploaded to the site but had no luck with it Also I tred to make a video on my android but it wouldn't upload.

             I got together with five of the members on my site and this is what we found. 

            Both mobile apps -upload video link -  Plays Sound only.

            Both mobile apps - Using upload video button - Fails to record. Will play fine when uploaded from other sources.

            Mobile, connecting thru url without mobile app (chrome browser) can record, upload and play video without problems.

            On computer with Firefox browser - we can record video but no upload button. And videos uploaded from other browsers (including the one you uploaded) will not play

            Computer with Microsoft Edge browser - we can record video but no upload button. Uploaded videos from other sources have sound only.

            Computer with Chrome browser - works as it should.

              The issue with the "Upload" button not appearing most of the times has been fixed in version 12.0.2.
              As to this:
              And videos uploaded from other browsers (including the one you uploaded) will not play

              Are you sure you have waited for the recorded and uploaded videos to be processed? Can you share an example of a video which plays well in one browser but is not playing in another? 

              • Alexander , Thanks for the reply. Yes I am very sure that I have waited long enough for the videos to be processed. Below is a video uploaded from a member calling herself Freckle using Add Video Link. Works fine with Chrome but with Microsoft Edge I get sound only and with FF I get nothing. You can scroll down in the timeline your self to test it. www.cyclemadness.net. Couple other things going on with timeline in the last few days too. Don't know if it has any thing to do with the other. Firefox will not stop tiring to load and I have timeline set to show only two comments and it's showing way more than two in all browsers.

                  I've tested it in FF, Chrome and Edge now on two PCs - it plays well for me, it plays the video and the sound without any issues. Do you still having issues with it? What are the exact versions of a browser you're using in which the problem happens? 

                  • Yes that is the post I am talking about. I have the latest ver of FF, 89.0 64 bit. 

                      Please read the comments under that video you posted in the above comment and you'll see many people are having the same problems. (except those using Chrome browsers)

                      BTW...Members also having the same problems with this on both mobile apps. The only way it will work on mobiles is to bypass the mobile app and enter the site with chrome browser.

                    On my Android I can click on the video record button and it seems to be recording but after I click on stop recording there is nothing there to upload.

                    When might the update be coming out for UNA? That might fix some of the problems.

                    • This is really strange.
                      I don't have any problems playing these videos on FF 89.0 under Linux Mint 19. BUT at the same time I can confirm that the video is not playing using FF 89.0 under Windows 10.
                      We are investigating the issue. 

                      • I'm very glad you can see that there is a problem. Please keep in mind that there is also the same problem with both mobile apps. The member that uploaded that video says that she can not view this video with the same iPhone that she uploaded the video from. (She uploaded it using upload video link.)  And I can not view it with my Android. The only way we can see the video without problems is with Chrome.
