What's the difference between Blog Posts, News and Articles modules?

Hello,

What the difference between those three modules as they are quite similar, with basically the same functionalities and categories?

I really wonder whether I should have the News and Articles modules besides the Blog Posts module. Can't this last one handle news and articles? or Should we need to have a dedicated module for news and another one for articles?

    • Hello.

      Theoretically you may use default Posts app for Posts, News and Articles at the same time. You may just add special categories (News and Articles). But in this case the possibility to post Articles/News will be available to all site members, because usually common posting is available to everybody.

      So, if you want to have different capabilities/workflows for Articles and News then you need to have separate apps.
