What's the idea behind Attendant Module?

I watched the Webinare 'Hashtags, Labels and Channels' again, and I am a little confused about how the new Attendant module could fit into that concept of using Labels as an onboarding tool vs the aim of the newly presented Attendant module, ,@Andrey Yasko . Could you please compare and explain the differences of using Attendant module and preconfigured profile Labels for the community onboarding process of new members?
