It seem you strongly need to use the SMTP providers, see some examples here https://una.io/d/email-service-provider
but in which area do I configure this?

First, you need to choose the mail service provider (some of them were mentioned in the provided link), then install SMTP mailer app and set it up according to the instructions within with info from the mail provider.
