Trying to figure out how to be able to include content title and snippets when sharing materials (eg. posts and events) from our site onto Facebook and if possible to include the site logo also.

Currently our FB shares only show our website domain name

Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.

[Apologies if a solution to this has already been posted in another discussion thread but I have spent quite a while searching for related discussions but can't seem able to find appropriate solution for us]

    • It maybe you are trying to share private content, so facebook can't see it, please try to share public content which is available for not logged in users.

      • Thanks Alex for your reply.
I did see a previous post in which you had suggested this might be the case but I can confirm that the test posts I tried using are indeed public (they are showing on the public posts timeline).

        • Did you tried to open this post under not logged-in profile ?

          • Yes, did try both as logged in and not logged in profile but had same results

            • Alex, I have just PM you couple of links as examples of the posts I mentioned. Thanks

              • Btw, in trying to troubleshoot it, I had tried entering {title} in the SEO Page (Meta) Description for the bx_posts_view_entry page just to see if would make any difference but to no avail.

                • Just a quick update that this was due to some other issue which has now been resolved. Thanks once again Alex, Anton and Roman for resolving the underlying issue for us so efficiently.

                  • Make sure the Zuckerberg bot has access to media files and content. It was needed to alter .htaccess for twitter. Maybe the same is the case for facebook?

                    • EducatedSingles nothing should be added to .htaccess in UNA to be able to share public items in Facebook or Twitter or anywhere else.

Could you please describe what you've added into .htaccess for Twitter, so we would have understanding what it does?
